Tomorrow morning I'm off down to London for the Holy Trinity Brompton Leadership Conference. I'm really looking forward to it and as well as the main sessions am planning to go to a mix of the 'Leading your Church' and 'Church Planting' seminars. As well as the formal sessions it'll be great to hang out with, learn from and bounce ideas off friends (old and, hopefully, new) from a variety of places, including some guys from various Episcopal churches in Edinburgh who I know are making the trip down too. I'm also really looking forward to seeing a former house mate of mine from when I lived in Coventry. The two of us actually shared a house for the year immediately before I moved to Glasgow, and as she is now in the selection process for the CofE it'll be great to compare stories as well as catch up on all the other things (like marriage!) that we have both done since then.
As my youngest brother lives somewhere near HTB I'm going to be staying with him and his girlfriend which will be good, and I'm also going to be taking the opportunity that an early train tomorrow and a late train on Saturday presents for looking round London a bit. So far I'm swinging between the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead exhibition at the British Museum, St Paul's, or a general wander around the streets of the capital (any other suggestions?), although I'm pretty sure of one thing; that dinner will be had somewhere in China Town!
Try a walk along the Embankment at night (and around the Tower - it looks incredibly atmospheric when it's all lit up).

It was good to see the two of you on Saturday (and I can assure you that the volume was turned down a significant amount from Friday night!)
There was a mass exodus of staff and other church leadership from P's and G's today to get the train down together - should be a good SEC contingent!
