YKW and I made the beautiful drive out to Aberfoyle last night for dinner with friends from the church I went to down in England who are staying here on holiday. It was a lovely evening: great food, great wine, great views and, most importantly, great company. Although they only arrived in Scotland on Saturday they had also been able to visit St Silas on Sunday which I was really touched by.
It was great to see them and to hear about some of their life story and journey with Jesus. One of the things that we thought about on Sunday was talking about God's word and what He has been doing in our lives - "With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth." - and last night was certainly an opportunity to do that.
