One-Line Bio

I am a follower of Christ, married to the most amazing woman I know, and am praying I will make a difference for someone.

Biography

My name is Nick Cox. I am a 25 year old student studying towards a theology degree at a Christian college. Previous to this I played professional rugby for 5 years and it was whilst playing rugby that I became a Christian and felt a call to Christian ministry.

I have a passion for church and feel called to serve in full time church ministry. I am motivated by a desire to see Jesus at the centre of the church and churches of all denominations united in the cause of making this happen. I am a member of a Scottish Episcopal Church (St Silas, Glasgow) and am currently part way through the (long) ordination selection process for the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Having got married in June '07 and having started working at St Silas (part time small group coordinator) a couple of months later I am on a sabbatical from playing club rugby so in my spare time am trying to keep fit at a local gym. I am also a big fan of all things Peter Kay and especially enjoy Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere (which actually inspired a sermon once!) I am an even bigger fan of my wife (YKW on the blog,) she rocks my world!

I envisage this blog as being a tool for me to share my feelings and views day to day on a whole range of issues from my life to current affairs (church, world, sport - anything really.) I also hope that it may serve as an enouragement to others 'out there' who are trying to walk with the Lord and can be helped by realising that there are others who struggle, fail and grapple with the tough issues also.

Please enjoy this blog (if anyone actually finds it!) and feel free to leave any comments!

Blessings, Nick.
